Frost & Sullivan Names Behr Technologies Entrepreneurial Company of the Year in IIoT Sensor Connectivity
TORONTO – October 10, 2018 – Behr Technologies Inc. (BTI), a worldwide licensee of the MIOTYTM LPWAN solution for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) market, announced today it has won Frost & Sullivan’s 2018 Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award for IIoT Sensor Connectivity. BTI is recognized for demonstrating entrepreneurial innovation through market disruption and competitive differentiation as well as customer impact with its MIOTY solution.
For this award, Frost & Sullivan analyzed competing cellular and licensee-free LPWA wireless networks as well as other wireless IoT technologies in the global IIoT sensor connectivity market. It found that BTI is dramatically impacting this market because MIOTY significantly outperforms competing solutions with its ultra-low power consumption, massive scalability, highest interference immunity, and lowest total cost of ownership.
“MIOTY’s ability to capture 1,500,000 messages a day by running on just a single industrial PC is unprecedented in the market,” said Dr. Rajender Thusu, Industry Principal at Frost & Sullivan “What further distinguishes this technology from competing solutions is its ability to offer considerable protection against signal interference from other systems and ability to capture data from people and objects moving at a speed of 120km/hour. MIOTY boasts the highest spectral efficiency in the industry.”
“We take great pride in receiving the 2018 Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award,” said Albert Behr, CEO at BTI. “We’ve quickly built a global company and created several strategic partnerships while staying on the cutting edge of the technology. Doing all of this in such a short time has been an exhilarating experience. We are excited that our efforts have been fruitful and, with this recognition by Frost & Sullivan, we are gaining recognition in a wider audience.”
“MIOTY by BTI is set to revolutionize the IIoT experience for customers from industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, automotive, environmental monitoring, and mining,” said Dr. Rajender Thusu, Industry Principal at Frost & Sullivan. “Its technology enables organizations to make the most of Big Data and identify more effective ways to implement IoT applications, like production and condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, worker safety, personnel management, and energy management.”
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in devising a strong growth strategy and robustly implementing it.
